On January 28-29, 2013, KJI in cooperation with the Regional Environmental Center (REC) in Kosovo conducted a training session in the field of environmental protection.
During this workshop were addressed topics related to the International Environmental Convention (Aarhus Convention) its history, basic concepts and its guiding principles. Particular attention was paid to the treatment of the EU environmental legislation and environmental obligations of the Environmental Acquis and the Law on Environmental Protection of Kosovo. The training was followed by practical cases and a mock trial related to an issue regarding environmental risk.
The beneficiaries of this roundtable were basic court judges from all regions of Kosovo.
