On 13 March 2009, Kosovo Judicial Institute (KJI) in close cooperation with National Centre for State Courts (USAID/NCSC) conducted the Roundtable Discussion under the topic: “Judicial and Prosecutorial Ethics in Kosovo”. The purpose of this training event was to provide its participants with knowledge on how to make interpret the rules set forth under the Code of Ethics and professional conduct in a broader sense. A special part of the aforementioned event were presented hypothetical situations aiming to develop specific abilities of judges and prosecutors regarding the issue of judicial independence and impartiality, as a cornerstone for judicial decision making.
The beneficiaries of the respective training were: judges and prosecutors from the region of Mitrovica.
