On February 8, 2013, KJI organized a training session addressing the Law on State Prosecution.
The purpose of this training was for the participants to become familiar with the powers of the state prosecution, to distinguish the competences of the prosecution offices and to become familiar with the legal provisions which regulate the competences of the new structure of the prosecution offices.
This training addressed issues regarding case competences of the Serious Crime Department, General Department as well as the Juvenile Department which function within the Basic Courts. A special attention was paid to the competences of the Special Prosecution Office, which is regulated by a special law.
The beneficiaries of this training were the newly appointed prosecutors from the basic prosecution office from all the regions of Kosovo.
