On 17 April 2009, Kosovo Judicial Institute conducted the roundtable discussion under the topic: “Diversion Measures”. The subjects that were presented for discussion during the aforementioned event focused on the application of the diversion measures and their impact in the practice. In addition to, special emphasizes was given to the fact that in order to protect the integrity and dignity of the minor, the minors that have not committed serious crimes shall not be subjected to the court proceedings.
On the same occasion was also discussed the role of the public prosecutor in the imposition of the diversion measures and the advantages of these measures in the reduction of the backlog of courts and prosecution offices.
The beneficiaries of the respective training were: judges and prosecutors trying juvenile cases, probation officers and police officers.
