Training on the Criminal Procedure Code of Kosovo (TPP)

On February 8, 2013, KJI in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy in Pristina, the Department of Justice and the Office of Overseas Prosecutorial Development Assistance and Training (OPDAT) conducted the next training session on the topic “Novelties of Criminal Procedure Code”.
The purpose of the training was for participants to familiarize themselves with the structure and the novelty of the Criminal Procedure Code which entered into force on January 01, 2013.

The training focused on general principles and powers of the courts, the initiation of investigations and criminal proceedings until the file of indictment, the indictment and its review, and judicial review and legal remedies. All these institutes were addressed in the context of changes, additions and their comparison with the previous provisions.
The beneficiaries of this training were 70 participants of them judges, prosecutors, lawyers, police officers from the Prizren region and officials for the seizure of property by the Ministry of Justice.
