On June 19, 21012, KJI within the Training program for Promotion conducted the third cycle from the Module Civil Material and Procedural Law on the topic: “Jurisdiction of the Special Chamber of the Supreme Court”.
Main objectives of the training were that participants after its completion will be able to:
• Distinguish the competences of regular courts and of the Special Chamber of the Supreme Court;
• Understand how should the courts act when an enterprise is presented as a party which is under the administration of the Kosovo Privatization Agency; and
• Apply correctly the provisions of the law in force on the competences of the Special Chamber.
This training focused on the correct implementation of the provisions of the New Law on Special Chamber. During the training were addressed in details issues concerning the jurisdiction of regular courts, jurisdiction of the Special Chamber of the Supreme Court as well as the execution of decisions of the Special Chamber of the Supreme Court. All these issues were addressed in the context of the current law and taking into consideration also the amendments and novelties of the Law on Courts.
Beneficiaries of this training were judges of the Special Chamber from the Supreme Court and judges from the Municipal Court from all the regions of Kosovo.
