On 17 May 2021, the Academy of Justice in cooperation with the American Embassy in Zagreb and the Croatian Academy of Justice, organized a regional webinar for judges on cryptocurrency.
The purpose of this webinar is equip judges with the latest and most important concepts on Cryptocurrencies and other virtual assets. Whereas as concerning the knowledge development, were addressed forms of investigation, ways of money laundering, confiscation, bank fraud, etc. The webinar also included and discussed the most popular cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) transactions, forms of fraud, ways to convert them into tangible money, etc.
The webinar was led by an expert from the US Embassy in Croatia and an expert from the FBI.
Beneficiaries of the webinar were Judges from the Special Department, the Serious Crimes Department, and the General Department.
