June 4 2021, Initial Training Program for the newly appointed judges of the eights generation is conducting a theoretical training from the Sub-module on ECHR, with trainer Mr. Skënder Çoçaj, Chairman of the Kosovo Judicial Council.
This session is elaborating on the following topics: Procedural guarantees in cases of deprivation of liberty, arrest of a suspect for committing a criminal offense, Article 5 of the ECHR and its application in Kosovo, and cases of violation of Article 5 of the ECHR in Kosovo - "Executive Orders".
Training methodology is using practical cases and elaborating on concrete cases of the European Court on deprivation of liberty and procedural guarantees. The training is taking place physically at the Academy of Justice. Beneficiaries of this training are 24 newly appointed judges, two of whom are of the Serbian community.
