Training – Copyright

Kosovo Judicial Institute (KJI) in cooperation with Intellectual Property Rights System in Kosovo-EUIPR, on 28 and 29 March 2014 conducted a training on: “Copyright”.

During this training were elaborated issues as: proper application of the copyright and other similar rights, the role and competencies of the Copyright Office and other similar rights, policies and the case law of the European Court of Justice (ECJ) in the field of copyright, determination of the punishments, exclusion from the copyright and WIPO Treaty of Marrakech that enables the access to the published materials for the blind persons, sight and reading disabilities.

In this occasion was discussed also the implementation of international acts separately to European directives and other legal provisions regarding interim measures and privacy, enforcement of copyright in the digital environment, the originality of a work, communication with the public and protection conditions of copyright

This training was conducted by international experts with academic and judicial experience in the field of copyright and local trainers while participants were judges of economic and administrative departments in Pristina Basic Court and the Court of Appeal.
