On 27 May 2014, in cooperation with CLDP, organized a roundtable discussion on: “Development of Judicial Publications in Kosovo”
The main goal of this workshop was the presentation of the judicial publications in the U.S. and elaboration of the functions of these publications for judges. Among the publications that were elaborated were: Handbook of the judge’s panel, monographs and reference guidance.
Besides discussing the importance of these publications for judges and prosecutors in the focus of this roundtable was to discuss the actions to be taken in the process of issuing a publication. In this regard were discussed undertaking steps in this process such as: creating a plan for publications, establishing judicial committee for publications, checklists of activities, schedule planning and design of the publication.
Participants in this roundtable had the opportunity to discuss with the relevant U.S. authorities regarding their experiences in the field of legal publications and in particular the forms of cooperation.
Beneficiaries: basic level judges and appellate judges of economic department and KJI staff.
