With the KJI Director invitation, Kosovo hosted a Senior Delegation of the Justice Academy of Turkey (JAT). This visit was implemented with the cooperation set with the Memorandum of Understanding reached between these two institutions.
The purpose of the visit is getting to know the system and case law of Kosovo, the exchange of ideas for best practices, exchange of experiences in relation to the organization of judicial training, increasing the level of cooperation between the KJI and JAT as well as the possibility of organizing joint judicial training programs.
During the visit, the JAT delegation paid a visit to KJI, with the purpose of getting more familiar with the history, legal framework, structure and its future plans. During this visit, meetings were conducted also with the Minister and Deputy Minister of Justice, Supreme Court President, President and a member of the Judicial Council, KJC Secretariat and Director as well as the State prosecutors and the Chief Prosecutor of Appeal Prosecution Office.
During the stay in Kosovo, JAT delegation will also visit the heads of the Basic Court in Gjilan and Prizren.
