October 22 2021, Academy of Justice within its Initial Training Program for the newly appointed judges (generation 8) is conducting a theoretical training from the sub-module on “Measures for ensuring presence of the defendant in the criminal proceeding”, with trainer Mr. Zyhdi Haziri, Judge in the Appeals Court.
This training session is covering the following aspects: Defendant's promise not to leave the place of residence, prohibition to approach a certain place or person, appearance at the police station, bail - its contents, house arrest, diversion and detention.
The training methodology that is being applied consist of practical cases as well as interactive discussions. The training is being conducted in person at the Academy of Justice, implementing all measures against the COVID-19.
Beneficiaries of the training are 24 newly appointed judges, two of whom are from the Serb community.
