On October 25, 2021, within the initial training program for newly appointed judges eighth generation (8) is being conducted theoretical training under the module "Code of Criminal Procedure-Initial hearing and second hearing" with trainer Mr. Afrim Shala, Acting. President of the Court of Appeal.
In the framework of this first session, the following topics are being addressed: Assignment of a judge to try the case, cases when the initial hearing should not be held, opening of the initial hearing, measures for ensuring the presence of the defendant and instructions for the defendant and defense counsel.
The training methodology applied consist with practical cases as well as interactive discussions. The training is being conducted in a combined way, in person at the Academy of Justice, implementing all measures against the COVID-19 virus.
Beneficiaries of the training are 24 newly appointed judges, two of whom are from the Serb community.
