Sub-module: Evidence in criminal proceeding; Topic: Understanding evidence and its types in criminal proceeding – source of evidence and proving remedies – First session

November 17 2021, Academy of Justice within its Initial Training Program for the newly appointed judges (generation eight), is conducting a theoretical training from the sub-module on “Evidence in criminal proceeding” with trainer Mr. Burim Ademi, judge in the Appeals Court.

This first session elaborates the topics that cover the following: evidence and their importance, procedural standards towards human rights and liberties when obtaining evidence, importance of evidence in relation with the facts, the perpetrator and the sanctioning, category of evidence and quality of evidence.

Training methodology is applying presentation of practical cases and interactive discussion. The training is taking place in person at the Academy premises, implementing all preventive measures against Covid-19.

Beneficiaries of this training are 24 newly appointed judges, two of whom are of the Serbian community.
