Strengthening International Legal Cooperation – cross-border operations with modern assessment methods

During September 22 – 23 2014, the KJI within the scope of activities for judges and prosecutors assigned as focal points in the area of International Legal Cooperation in Criminal Matters, in cooperation with the EU twinning project conducted the next training related to the aforementioned topic.

Issues covered during this training session were related to specifics of mutual legal assistance with modern methods of assessment, in the context of cross-border organized crime and asset recovery. Also a particular attention was paid to the structure and content of the outgoing requests for ILS based on the templates prepared by German experts.

During the training EU case law examples were presented regarding orders for telecommunication surveillance and other warrants.

Beneficiaries of this training were judges and prosecutors assigned as focal points for International Legal Cooperation in Criminal Matters.
