On 25 September 2014, Kosovo Judicial Institute conducted a training on: “Civil liability in construction contracts”.
The purpose of this training was to help the participants evaluate the elements of the construction contracts, to interpret the legal provisions regarding the liability of the contractor and supervisor as well as the application of the legal provisions relating to the additional and necessary work.
During this session was discussed about the forms and characteristics of the construction contract, its legal nature, parties and their responsibility, signing of contract and additional work. During this training was discussed also the avoidance of the project, unforeseen emergency work, price change and disputes between workmanship, investors, designers and supervisors.
Training was associated with the case law aiming to support judges in resolving dilemmas and difficulties faced during the practical work.
