On 11 December 2014, Kosovo Judicial Institute within the Continuous Training Program conducted training for judges and prosecutors on: “Statutory limitation of criminal cases”.
The objectives of this training were, elimination of dilemmas in statutory limitation cases faced by Kosovo courts and prosecution offices, implementation of legal provisions of statutory limitation in criminal cases, assessment of procedural actions for initiation and interruption of statutory limitation term.
During this training were treated topics related to legal basis, reasons that cause statutory limitation, legal terms of statutory limitation, interruption and prohibition of statutory, factual and legal barriers of prohibition, relative and absolute statutory limitation and legal consequences caused by it.
The training was conducted by combined methods of theoretical and practical explanation, accompanied by case law examples.
Beneficiaries of this training were judges and prosecutors of basic level - serious crimes, general and juvenile Department.
