Training Program in Non-Judicial Institutions - visit of newly appointed judges and prosecutors to the Detention Center in Pristina
On February 9, 2023, within the framework of practical training with non-judicial institutions for newly appointed judges and prosecutors of the ninth generation, the Academy of Justice is conducting a visit to the "Detention Center in Pristina".
Within the framework of the visits organized according to the Initial Program in non-judicial institutions, there is also the detention center in Pristina where the Director Mr. Haki Maxharraj welcomed the newly appointed judges and prosecutors and described the purpose of this visit as appropriate, highly appreciated the cooperation with the Academy of Law to continue with the mandate and challenges in the detention center.
Deputy director Mr. Avni Kelmendi revealed knowledge for the newly appointed judges and prosecutors to familiarize themselves with the work done in the detention center in Pristina, how the prisoners are treated, the conditions in the detention center, the implementation of the procedure, and cooperation in the courts and the prosecutor's office.
Also, the newly appointed judges and prosecutors had the opportunity to see closely the wards, the residential part, the visitors' halls, the intelligence unit, the outpatient clinic where prisoners are treated and the assessment and classification unit.
The beneficiaries of the training are the newly appointed judges and prosecutors (generation IX) where one of them is from the Bosnian community.
