War Crimes
On October 6–7, 2026, the Academy of Justice, in cooperation with the UNDP within the framework of the Continuous Training Program, through the regional project "EU Support for Confidence Building in the Western Balkans," is conducting a training session on the topic: “War Crimes.” The trainers engaged in this session are: Mr. Afrim Shala, Judge at the Supreme Court of Kosovo; Mr. Ilir Morina, Prosecutor at the Special Prosecution Office; and Mr. Mathias Holvoet, Professor of International Criminal Law at the University of Amsterdam. The purpose of this training is to advance professional knowledge in the field of international criminal law, with a focus on the legal treatment of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide, as well as the application of international standards and domestic legislation in judicial practice. Training Methodology: A combined approach featuring theoretical explanations, interactive discussions, and the presentation of practical case studies.
Beneficiaries of this training are: Judges and prosecutors from the basic and appellate levels, as well as police investigators.
