Module: Juvenile Justice Code, fourth session - Judicial review and legal remedies

On July 9, 2024, the Academy of Justice within its Initial Training Program for the newly appointed judges of the tenth generation, is carrying out the theoretical training from the "Juvenile Justice Code" module, conducted by the trainer Mr. Shpëtim Peci, Prosecutor at the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Mitrovica.

During this session the following is being addressed: the age of criminal responsibility, the urgency of the procedure and the short deadlines, the non-applicability of the trial in absentia when adjudication juvenile cases, the principle of confidentiality and opportunity and the deprivation of liberty as a last resort, as well as the characteristics of detention.

The training methodology is interactive discussions method and practical cases.

Beneficiaries of the training are 15 newly appointed judges.
