Sub-module – Special procedures under the CPC, second session: Detention

On January 31, 2023, as part of the initial training program for the newly appointed judges of the ninth generation, the second group, the theoretical training under the module "Special Procedures according to the CPC" is being carried out with trainer Mr. Skender Çoçaj, Judges at the Court of Appeal.

In the framework of this first session, the topics being addressed are: detention for persons with mental disorders, imposing of detention to minors with mental disorders, the special conditions that must be met to impose detention to a person with mental disorders, leave or termination of the procedure due to the decision on the incapacity to submit to trial, the implementation of the procedure for the imposition of the measure of compulsory psychiatric treatment, court decisions and the imposition and calculation of the measure of compulsory psychiatric treatment.

The training methodology is being implemented with practical cases as well as with the interactive discussion.

Beneficiaries of the training are 18 newly appointed judges, two of whom are from the Serbian community.
