Training program in non -judicial institutions - Visit of the newly appointed judges to the High Security Prison - Generation XI

October 17, 2024, within the framework of practical training for the newly appointed judges in non-judicial institutions, the Academy of Justice visited the "High Security Prison in Dyz".

Within the planned visits organized according to the Initial Training Program in non -judicial institutions is also the Kosovo Correctional Service, where the judges had the opportunity to visit the High Security Prison. The newly appointed judges were hosted by the Director Mr. Xhevdet Maqastena, who welcomed the judges and expressed high appreciation for the purpose of this visit and the cooperation with the Academy of Justice. Mr. Maqastena further continued presenting the mandate and challenges of this institution.

Other representatives of the institution presented to the newly appointed judges informing them about the work done in the high security prison, how the prisoners are being treated, the conditions it possesses and the implementation of the proceedings.

The newly appointed judges also had the opportunity to see the pavilions, the living area, the visitors' area, the intelligence unit, the ambulance for the prisoners and the evaluation and classification unit.

Beneficiaries of the training are the newly appointed judges of the Generation XI.
