Training of Trainers – Reasoning of court decisions

The Academy of Justice, in cooperation with the Council of Europe Office in Pristina, namely the "Support to the Constitutional Court in the application and promotion of European standards" project, is conducting the two-day training for trainers on Reasoning of court decisions.

The purpose of this training is for the local trainers to become familiar with the international standards regarding the reasoning of decisions, with the forms and resources, being presented with cases from practice.

In his introductory speech, the Executive Director of the Academy of Justice thanked the Council of Europe who continuously support the Academy in improving the legal and training infrastructure based on the latest international standards. Mr. Fejzullahu emphasized that this training is only an initiative of AJ for improvement and advancement of training capacities in the field of Reasoning of judicial decisions, which will be delivered with a training package in particular on the HELP platform where the online course will be launched.

This training will elaborate on the ECHR Articles 3 and 5 from the jurisprudence of the ECtHR and national courts; the ECHR Articles 6 and 8 from the ECtHR jurisprudence and national courts; as well as ECHR Articles 10 and 14 also from the perspective of the ECtHR jurisprudence of the and national courts.

At the end of the training, the participants will be provided the new handbook prepared by the two trainers engaged by the Council of Europe, Mrs. Ivana Roagna and Mr. Bekim Sejdiu about the latest international standards about the Reasoning of judicial decisions.

Beneficiaries of the training are AJ trainers as well as potential trainers from the ranks of judges, prosecutors of the Supreme, Appeals and Basic instances.
