
Module: Contested Procedure - Part One
During July 16-31, 2025, the Academy of Justice within the Initial Training Program for newly appointed judges of the thirteenth generation, conducted a 12-session theoretical training from the module on Contested Procedure - Part One under the curriculum on Civil, Administrative and Commercial Laws.
This module was conducted with the support of the trainer Mr. Zenel Leku, judge at the Supreme Court and Mr. Faton Ademi, judge at the Court of Appeals.
This module covers the following: Principles of contested procedure; general reviews related to the topic; regular composition of the court and the exclusion of the judge; parties to the contested procedure; submissions and sending of documents; hearings; deadlines and return to the previous state; termination of the procedure by court decision; types of judgments according to the LCP; regular legal remedies of appeal; extraordinary remedies of appeal; and simulation of the hearing that refers to the evidence.
The training methodology used an interactive discussions method based on practical cases. This training also included a trial simulation that was conducted in the courtroom premises (Supreme Court).
Beneficiaries of the training are 21 newly appointed judges, including one member from the Serbian community, 2025/2026.
