Treatment of the survivors of sexual violence during the war in Kosovo when accessing the justice

February 27 2024, Academy of Justice in cooperation with the Kosovo Center for Rehabilitation of Torture Survivors – KCRTS, within the Continuous Training Program conducted the training activity on Treatment of the survivors of sexual violence during the war in Kosovo when accessing the justice.

Trainers engaged for this activity are Ms. Albina Shabani-Rama President of the Basic Court in Prishtina, Mr. Atdhe Dema Prosecutor in the Special Prosecution of Kosovo, and Ms. Selvi Izeti Psychologist in the KCRTS.

Main purpose of this training is to extend the participant knowledge on the challenges, needs and sensitive approach when handling cases of the sexual violence during the war in Kosovo.

Training methodology is combination of open and interactive discussions discussion of case studies, exchange of experiences and practices.

Beneficiaries of this training are judges and prosecutors.
