Study visit of officials of the Academy of Justice and Prosecutorial Council of the Republic of Kosovo to South Carolina
Officials of the Academy of Justice and of the office of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, supported by the American Embassy, namely the OPDAT office, are paying a study visit to South Carolina from April 13th to April 24th, 2024.
The purpose of this visit is to be informed about the best US practices in legal education for judges and prosecutors and its impact on increasing professionalism and, consequently, on the efficiency and improvement of work in courts and prosecution offices.
Based on the agenda of the visit, the delegation composed of the AJ and the Prosecutorial Council will have the opportunity to be informed about the training activities of the Department of Justice at the National Advocacy Center (NAC) and its role in legal education. Special attention will be paid to assessment techniques through the Kirkpatrick methodology, the training needs assessment process, the performance evaluation of trainers, including visits to courts and prosecution offices, and participation in a court session.
The delegation is comprised of the Executive Director and 5 other officials of the AJ, the President of the Supreme Court, the Acting Chief State Prosecutor and 5 prosecutors, and 1 official of the Prosecutorial Council, as well as 3 officials, legal specialist of the American Embassy.
