Implementation of the Guidelines on Punitive Policy, Unification of the Practice for Measuring of the Punishment

On September 10, 2024, the Academy of Justice in cooperation with US-DOJ/OPDAT, within the framework of the Continuous Training Program, is conducting a round table on: "Implementation of the Guidelines on Punitive Policy, unification of practice for measuring of the Punishment". Trainers engaged in this table are: Mrs. Mr. Agim Maliqi, judge at the Supreme Court, Mr. Agron Qalaj, prosecutor in the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor and Mrs. Benina Kusari, Senior Legal Specialist, US Embassy, Pristina. The purpose of this roundtable is to advance the knowledge of the participants regarding proper implementation of the methods of measuring the punishment by all judges, but at the same time so that the prosecutors and the defenders of the victims can contribute to the illumination of the circumstances before the court that would affect the measurement right to punishment. The training methodology is of a combined character with theoretical explanations and interactive discussions, following by presentation of practical cases. Beneficiaries: Judges from the Basic Court, Prosecutors from the Basic Prosecution and officials from the Probation Service of Kosovo.
