→ The Role of Artificial Intelligence in the Judiciary

On June 3, 2026, in Sofia, Bulgaria, at the invitation of the RCC (Network of Judicial Training Institutes in South-Eastern Europe (SEE), co-organized by the National Institute of Justice (NiP), the Academy of Justice is participating in the panel dedicated to the digitalization of judicial cooperation in South-Eastern Europe, which addresses developments and challenges in the field of cross-border cooperation in criminal matters and approximation with the practices of the European Union. During the discussions, the importance of improving electronic communication between judicial institutions to facilitate the exchange of information and digital evidence was emphasized. The participants are discussing the preparation of justice professionals and institutions to adapt to the digital transformation, underlining the need to increase capacities and specialized training. Particular attention was paid to the role of national judicial networks in strengthening international cooperation. The Academy of Justice reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the development of professional skills of judges and prosecutors in the field of digitalization, with the aim of increasing efficiency, transparency and access to justice.
