Family Law and Domestic Violence

On October 27, 2026, the Academy of Justice, within the framework of the Continuous Training Program, is conducting a training session from the Basic Module for professional associates and legal officers in the civil field, on the topic: "Family Law and Domestic Violence". The trainers engaged in this session are Mr. Faton Ademi, judge at the Supreme Court of Kosovo, and Mr. Valon Totaj, President of the Court of Appeals. The purpose of this training is to enhance the professional capacities of the participants regarding legal provisions related to marriage, the dissolution of marriage, procedures for resolving matrimonial disputes, temporary measures, legal remedies in these disputes, the protection of children's rights in matrimonial and family disputes, as well as domestic violence—including amendments under the new Law. The methodology applied during the training was of a combined nature, featuring theoretical explanations and interactive discussions. The beneficiaries of this training are professional associates and legal officers from all courts of Kosovo.
