Cybercrime and cryptocurrencies
On June 04-05, 2024, the Academy of Justice in cooperation with the US-DOJ/OPDAT, as part of the Continuous Training Program, are conducting the training on Cybercrime and cryptocurrencies.
Trainers engaged in this training are: Mrs. Kristi O'Malley, prosecutor, US Department of Justice, Mr. Skender Çoçaj, judge at the Appeals Court and Mr. Halim Borovci, prosecutor in the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo.
The purpose of this training is to advance the knowledge of the participants regarding the biggest legal challenges which has encouraged another form of crime, creating an environment for new methods of crime, now almost all crimes can be committed with the use of computers.
The training methodology is of a combined character with theoretical explanations and interactive discussions, also presenting practical cases.
Beneficiaries are judges from the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal and Basic Court, Prosecutors from the Prosecution of Appeal and Basic Prosecution, Official from the Police of Kosovo, Official of FIU and Investigator from the Kosovo Police Inspectorate.
