Prosecutors skills for presentation of cases in Court
October 25 2023, Academy of Justice in cooperation with the Albanian School of Magistrates, within the joint activities for prosecutors of both countries conducted a training on “Prosecutors skills for presentation of cases in Court”.
Purpose of this training was Exchange of experiences and best practices between two countries related to representation of cases in court by prosecutors.
This training was commenced with the opening remarks by Mr. Arben Rakipi Director of the Albanian School of Magistrates, and Mrs. Luljete Hetemi, Head of the RPP of the Kosovo Justice Academy. Both institutions confirmed further support for the upcomming activities that continue briniging together the mutual recognition, communication and sharing of good practices in order to make the justice better.
The trainign initially focused on the perspective of the Albania jurisprudence on investigation and adjudication, and specifics of the case presentation in courts, that was elaborated in details by the Director of the Judicial Directorate in the General Prosecutor's Office of Albania Mr. Arqilea Koça, and from the Kosovar perspective by the acting Chief State Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Besim Kelmendi.
Particular attention was paid to occasions when the case in court is presented through the information technology, and the preperations that prosecutors need to have in mind in these cases. For these occasions the advantages and eventual weaknesses were presented, to include also the practical experience from both systems.
Prosecutors of both countries had the opportunity to discuss on many legal matters like investigation orders, the act of delegating the investigation to police, and other investgative actions for which the best practices and the best legal solutions were presented.
The training was attended by 11 prosecutors from all instances and regions of Kosovo, and 12 prosecutors from Albania.
