Academy of Justice participating in the CoE Closing conference of the Programme “Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkye

Tirana, 7 October 2026 – The Executive Director of the Academy of Justice, Mr. Enver Fejzullahu, alongside representatives of other justice institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, participated in the regional closing conference of the joint European Union and Council of Europe programme, “Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Türkiye”, held in Tirana, Albania. The conference marked a decade of partnership and progress in supporting reforms across the region, particularly in strengthening the rule of law, promoting human rights and advancing European standards. During the conference, Executive Director Fejzullahu shared his reflections on the achievements and impact of the Horizontal Facility, highlighting the Council of Europe's valuable professional expertise, continuous commitment and support in strengthening the capacities of justice institutions. He particularly emphasised the importance of this partnership in helping the Academy of Justice integrate European standards into judicial training, everyday professional practice and institutional culture. Mr. Fejzullahu underlined that the real value of this cooperation goes beyond individual training activities, contributing to sustainable professional capacities and a stronger commitment to human rights and the rule of law. The Academy of Justice highly values its longstanding partnership with the Council of Europe and the European Union and their continued support in strengthening the quality and effectiveness of justice.
