International Legal Cooperation in Criminal Matters

On April 14, 2026, the Academy of Justice, within the framework of the Continuous Training Program, conducted a training on “International Legal Cooperation in Criminal Matters.”

The trainers were Ms. Albina Shabani Rama, Judge at the Appellate Court, and Mr. Gazmend Çitaku, Director of the Department for International Legal Cooperation at the Ministry of Justice.

The purpose of the training was to strengthen participants’ knowledge in the field of international legal cooperation in criminal matters, with a focus on domestic legislation, bilateral agreements with other states, and international instruments governing cooperation in this area.

The methodology combined trainer presentations with interactive approaches, encouraging discussion and analysis of practical cases.

The beneficiaries of this training were judges and prosecutors.
