Violence against Women, Domestic Violence and Gender-Based Violence

March 26, 2025, the Academy of Justice, within the Continuous Training Program in cooperation with the Council of Europe’s Project on Approximation of Laws and Policies with the Istanbul Convention, are conducting the training on Violence against Women, Domestic Violence and Gender-Based Violence.

Trainers engaged in this activity are Mrs. Leonora Kadriu, prosecutor at the Basic Prosecution Office in Gjilan, Mr. Sultan Dobraj, judge at the Basic Court in Gjakova, and Dr. Ariana Qosaj-Mustafa, local expert engaged by the Council of Europe.

The purpose of this training is to extend the participants’ knowledge on the main concepts, local legal framework and laws related to Violence against Women (VAWG), Domestic Violence (DV) and Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

The training methodology is with partial theoretical explanations and cases from judicial practice; interactive discussions and analysis of court cases.

Beneficiaries are judges and prosecutors from the Basic instance.
