Investigation and Prosecution of War Crimes

On 28–29 April 2026, the Academy of Justice, in cooperation with UNDP, will conduct a training session within the Continuous Training Program on the topic: “Investigation and Prosecution of War Crimes.”

The trainers for this activity are Mr. Ilir Morina, Special Prosecutor at the Special Prosecution Office of Kosovo and Mr. Atdhe Dema, Special Prosecutor at the Special Prosecution Office of Kosovo.

The purpose of this training is to strengthen the professional capacities of participants through the analysis of practical local and international war crimes cases. The program will address shortcomings identified in practice and include cases that have reached judicial resolution.

The training methodology combines theoretical explanations with interactive discussions, supported by the presentation of practical case studies.

Beneficiaries of this training include judges from the Basic Courts, Prosecutors from the Basic Prosecution Offices and the Appellate Prosecution Office, and Investigators and supervisors from the Kosovo Police.
