Case Law of the Strasbourg Court – Cases with Expertise of the Strasbourg Court
On February 24, 2026, the Academy of Justice, within the framework of the Continuous Training Program and in cooperation with the Council of Europe/ Support to the Constitutional Court in the implementation and dissemination of the standards of the European Court of Human Rights, is organizing a training on the topic: “Jurisprudence of the Strasbourg Court – Cases with Expertise of the Strasbourg Court.”
Trainers for this activity are Mr. Bashkim Hyseni, Judge at the Supreme Court and Ms. Donika Qerimi, Professor at the University of Pristina.
Purpose of the training aims is to strengthen participants’ skills in finding and researching cases and documents in HUDOC and applying the guidelines of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR). It seeks to unify judicial practice and ensure the effective protection of human rights in line with the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo and the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR).
Methodology of the training is designed around exploring the jurisprudence of the Strasbourg Court; presentations and discussions of concrete ECtHR cases with active participant involvement; Practical use of search engines such as HUDOC; Application of ECtHR Guidelines; Hands-on exercises in finding, referencing, and citing ECtHR cases according to legal writing standards.
Beneficiaries of the training are judges and professional associates from basic and appellate levels, and Prosecutors and professional associates from the Appellate Prosecution Office.
