Competencies of the judge during the asset sequestration and confiscation procedure and conditions for imposing confiscation, according to the legal systems in Albania and Kosovo

On February 23 2024, Academy of Justice in cooperation with the Regional Project “Combating corruption and organized crime in Western Balkans through empowering the regional cooperation in the asset recovery field”, implemented by AIRE Centre and RAI Secretariat, supported by the UK Government, are organizing the online seminar delivered via Zoom platform on the topic of Competencies of the judge during the asset sequestration and confiscation procedure and conditions for imposing confiscation, according to the legal systems in Albania and Kosovo.

Trainers engaged for this activity are Mr. Bashkim Hyseni judge in the Special Department of the Appeals Court, and Ms. Dolores Musabelliu Special prosecutor of Albania, Anti-corruption and organized crime department.

Purpose of this seminar is to extend the participants knowledge on the most important aspects of asset confiscation, providing valuable knowledge and encouraging discussions on international standards, the investigation procedures and the judicial competencies in the asset confiscation processes.

Training methodology is of a combined nature with theoretical presentations and interactive discussion of practical cases.

Beneficiaries of this training are judges, prosecutors, professional associates from Kosovo and Albania.
