Curriculum: Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo

During October 1st through 23rd, 2024, Academy of Justice within the Initial Program for newly appointed judges of the 12th generation, has delivered theoretical training from the module: on Criminal Code – Special part with 12 training sessions. This module was delivered with the input from the trainers Mr. Agim Maliqi judge of the Supreme Court of Kosovo, and Mr. Valon Kurtaj, judge in the Basic Court of Prishtina – Special Department.

This module elaborated on the following: Criminal offenses against the economy, criminal offenses against wealth, criminal offenses against the legal order and non-declaration of wealth and false declaration of wealth, chapter XXVIII, criminal offenses against the general safety of people and property, criminal offenses against the economy and firearm criminal offenses, criminal offenses against life and body, criminal offenses against human rights and liberties, criminal offenses against rights in employment relations, criminal offenses against the environment, animals and cultural objects, criminal offenses against marriage and the family, and criminal offenses against the public traffic safety.

The training methodology is interactive discussions and case-based method.

Beneficiaries of the training are 31 newly appointed judges including one member from the Bosnian community.
