Measures to ensure the presence of the defendant in the procedure

On June 18, 2026, the Academy of Justice, within the framework of the Continuous Training Program, is conducting the training “Measures to ensure the presence of the defendant in the procedure”.

Trainers engaged in this activity are Mr. Ali Kutllovci, Judge at the Court of Appeal and Mr. Kujtim Munishi, Prosecutor at the Appeals Prosecutor’s Office.

The purpose of the training on measures to ensure the presence of the defendant is to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively understand, implement and evaluate these measures in accordance with criminal legislation and international standards for it. To understand the importance of measures to ensure the presence of the defendant in the criminal process and their role in the procedure.

Training methodology, handling of cases from judicial practice, related to security measures for the presence of the defendant with special emphasis on detention as the most severe security measure for the presence of the defendant in the procedure.

Beneficiaries of this training are judges from the Court of Appeal and Basic Court, Prosecutor from the Basic Prosecution Office and professional associates from the judiciary.
