Judicial Protection of Rights in Cases of Discrimination

On February 19, 2026, the Academy of Justice, within the framework of its Continuous Training Program, will hold a training session on “Judicial Protection of Rights in Cases of Discrimination.”

Trainers engaged in this activity are Ms. Shpresa Emra, President of the Basic Court in Prizren and Mr. Islam Sllamniku, Permanent Trainer at the Academy of Justice.

Purpose of this training is to strengthen judicial practice in handling cases of discrimination, with a particular focus on the practical application of substantive and procedural provisions under the Law on Protection from Discrimination. Key topics include: Procedural aspects of discrimination cases; Burden of proof; Legal deadlines and remedies; The role of competent institutions, such as the Ombudsman.

The program methodology combines theoretical explanations with interactive discussions, supported by the presentation of practical case studies.

Beneficiaries of this training are Judges of Basic Courts as well as their professional associates.
