Judicial protection of the rights of children without parental care

September 4th 2025, Academy of Justice in cooperation with the KOMF, under its Continuous Training Program, are conducting the training on “Judicial protection of the rights of children without parental care”.

Trainers engaged for this activity are Mr. Valon Totaj, President of the Appellate Court, and Mr. Bedri Bahtiri, professor at the Law Faculty of the University of Prishtina.

Purpose of this training is to extend the participants knowledge on the issues related to protection of the rights of children without parental care, as well as forms of special protection of these children, which are stipulated in the Law on Family, in reference to the Convention on the Children Rights (CCR).

The training methodology is interactive, through presentation of cases, discussion on the presented cases, and summary of conclusions on the discussed matters, in order to achieve entirely the training objectives.

Beneficiaries of this training are judges and prosecutors of the basic instance, victim advocates, and the free legal aid officials.
