Media – Forms of Media Influence on the Justice System and Their Management to Prevent Damage to the Image of Justice Institutions in the Eyes of the Public

On 7 April 2026, the Academy of Justice,within the Continuous Training Program and in cooperation with the School of Magistrates of Albania, conducted a training on: “Media – Forms of Media Influence on the Justice System and Their Management to Prevent Damage to the Image of Justice Institutions in the Eyes of the Public.”

The experts engaged in this training included Mr. Gerd Hoxha, Acting President of the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Tirana; Mr. Faton Ademi, Judge at the Supreme Court of Kosovo; and Mr. Zylyftar Bregu, expert and lecturer at the University of Tirana.

The training was facilitated by Ms. Olkeda Lice, Judge at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Shkodër.

The aim of this training was to enable participants from Kosovo and Albania to discuss and analyze the various forms of media influence on the justice system. In this context, discussions and debates were held on managing attempts of influence, as well as on the conduct and response of magistrates to such forms of public pressure.

During the training, interactive methods were applied, including discussions and case analyses from Kosovo and Albania, as well as group work on practical cases.

The beneficiaries of this training were judges and prosecutors from Kosovo and Albania.
