Module: Domestic Violence in the Criminal Field

During May 28-30, 2025, the Academy of Justice, within the Initial Training Program for the newly appointed judges of the thirteenth generation, conducted three theoretical training sessions from the module on Domestic Violence in the Criminal Field, under the scope of th curriculum on Legislation and Complementary Skills. This module was held by the trainer Ms. Shenaj Berisha, Prosecutor at the Special Prosecutor's Office.

This module addressed the following: Domestic Violence and the Law on Prevention and Protection from Domestic Violence; Violence against Women and Gender-Based Violence.

The training methodology used an interactive discussions method based on practical cases. This module also included a Simulation that was conducted in the courtroom (Supreme Court premises), also supported by the trainer Mr. Fahret Velija, judge at the Basic Court of Prizren.

Beneficiaries of the training are 21 newly appointed judges including one member from the Serbian community, 2025/2026.
