Module: ECHR
During January 20-28, February 17-25, in March 28-29 and in April 5th 2025, Academy of Justice within the Initial Training Program for newly appointed prosecutors of the eleventh generation, conducted a 10-session theoretical training from the ECHR module within the scope of the National and International Legal Order curriculum.
This module was conducted with the support of the trainer Mr. Hajredin Kuqi, Professor at the University of Pristina, Mr. Skender Çoçaj, Judge at the Court of Appeal, and Ms. Habibe Salihu, Prosecutor at the Special Prosecutor's Office.
This module covered the following: the role and importance of the Council of Europe, the European Court of Human Rights and the European Convention on Human Rights; Article 2 - the Right to life; Article 5 - the Right to liberty and security; Article 6 - the Right to a fair trial; procedural safeguards in cases of deprivation of liberty; Article 8 - the Right to respect for private and family life; Article 10 - Freedom of expression; European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Liiberties - protection of journalists and whistleblowers.
The training methodology was developed using an interactive discussions method and based on practical cases.
Beneficiaries of the training are 24 newly appointed state prosecutors.
