
Module: Juvenile Justice Code
Through June 2-4 2025, the Academy of Justice within its Initial Training Program, for the newly appointed judges of the thirteenth generation, conducted three theoretical training sessions from the module on Juvenile Justice Code under the curriculum on Legislation and Complementary Skills.
This module was conducted by the trainer Mr. Shpëtim Peci, Prosecutor at the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Mitrovica.
This module addressed the following: Guiding principles, definitions, measures and punishments against minors and their selection; Imposing measures and punishments on adults for criminal offenses committed as minors; the effect of punishment on educational measures, diversity measures and mediation; educational measures and punishments; preparatory procedure; judicial review and decisions and legal remedies; and protection of the child as a victim in criminal proceedings.
The training methodology was carried out through an interactive discussions and case-based method.
Beneficiaries of the training are 21 newly appointed judges including one member from the Serbian community, 2025/2026.
