Module – The Role of the Prosecutor in the Judicial Trial
On October 14 and 28, November 10–18, and December 1, 2025, the Academy of Justice, within the Initial Training Program for the eleventh generation of newly appointed prosecutors, conducted a seven-session theoretical training under the module “The Role of the Prosecutor in the Judicial Trial.” This module is part of the “Criminal Procedure Code” curriculum and was delivered with the support of Mr. Naim Abazi, Prosecutor at the Special Prosecutor’s Office.
The module covered the following key topics: The role of the state prosecutor during the initial hearing; The role of the prosecutor throughout the judicial trial; The prosecutor’s opening statement; Direct and indirect examination; Presentation of evidence; The prosecutor’s closing statement, including submissions on sentencing.
The training methodology was based on interactive learning and the use of practical case examples.
The beneficiaries of this training are 24 newly appointed prosecutors for the 2025/2026 program year.
