Module: Criminal Code – General part

Through February 3rd until 25th, and on March 17th 2025, the Justice Academy within its Initial Training Program for newly appointed prosecutors, conducted 14 training sessions within the Criminal Procedure Code Curriculum. This module was carried out by the trainers Dren Paca, Rafet Halimi and Ilir Morina, prosecutors from the Special Prosecution Office.

This module elaborated on the following: Elements of a criminal offense, criminal offenses and criminal liability, liability of legal persons, forms of guilt (intention, negligence and mistake, causes that exclude liability (necessary defense, extreme necessity, violence and intimidation, cooperation in committing a criminal offense: co-perpetration, instigation, assistance, criminal conspiracy and agreement to commit a criminal offense, criminal sanctions, types of punishments (main, additional alternative punishments and judicial warning), mandatory treatment measures, legal consequences of punishment, rehabilitation of convicted persons and statute of limitations and forms of guilt (intention, negligence and mistake, causes that exclude liability.

Training methodology is interactive and based on practical cases.

Beneficiaries of this training are the 24 newly appointed prosecutors.
