Module: Criminal Code - General Part

On 02-17 June 2026, Academy of Justice within the initial training program for newly appointed judges of the fifteenth generation, conducted twelve theoretical sessions of the module “Criminal Code - General Part within the framework of the curriculum “Criminal Code of Kosovo”.

This module was conducted with the support of trainers:

• Bashkim Hyseni, judge at the Supreme Court,
• Burim Ademi, judge at the Supreme Court.

The topics covered in this module are:

• Criminal offenses and criminal liability,
• Intent, negligence, necessary defense,
• Extreme defense, violence and intimidation,
• Error, cooperation in committing a criminal offense,
• Aiding and abetting co-commitment of a criminal offense,
• Criminal sanctions, statute of limitations and rehabilitation of convicted persons and the basis,
• The limit of liability of legal entities.

The training methodology was developed using an interactive method and based on practical cases.

The beneficiaries of the training are 18 newly appointed judges, 2026/2027.
