
Module: Procedure of perpetrators with mental disorders
During 27 November 2024, 22 January, and and 14 of February 2025, the Justice Academy, within the Initial Program for newly appointed judges of the twelfth generation, conducted a 4-session theoretical training from the module “Procedure of perpetrators with mental disorders” within the “Criminal Procedure Code” Curriculum. This module was conducted by the trainers Mr. Burim Ademi, judge at the Supreme Court and Mr. Afrim Shala, judge at the Supreme Court.
This module addressed the following: Accountability, History of handling criminal proceedings when adjudicating cases of perpetrators with mental disorders and court simulations.
The training methodology was developed using an interactive method and based on practical cases, it also included the Simulation method that was held in the courtroom premises (Supreme Court).
Beneficiaries of the training are 31 newly appointed judges, including one member of the Bosnian Community.
