On 07, 08, and 09 July 2026, the Academy of Justice, within its initial training program for newly appointed judges of the fifteenth generation, conducted four theoretical sessions of the “Initial Hearing” module as part of the “Criminal Procedure Code” curriculum.

This module was delivered by Mr. Afrim Shala, Judge at the Supreme Court.

The topics covered in this module included: Initial Hearing; Plea Bargaining Agreement; Pleading Guilty during the Initial Hearing and Sentencing; Objection to Evidence; and Request for Dismissal of Indictment.

The training methodology was designed using interactive approaches and based on practical cases. A Court Simulation was also conducted within the framework of the module, held on the premises of the Court.

The beneficiaries of the training were 18 newly appointed judges, generation 2025/2026.
